Welcome! I’m Mel Wood and I’m so happy you have come to visit.

You know how everyone says you need a positioning/elevator pitch/mission statement in business? Well I guess this one is mine:

I facilitate the positive transformation of people’s lives, navigating them towards optimal living while remaining true to their authentic self.

Now here’s the twist, I’ve spoken the language of large corporations and completely understand the struggles and demands of the world we live in, however the other 50 percent of me is a big believer in the energies around and within us.

Connecting back to your most authentic self doesn’t have to be a “woo woo” experience as so many people say these days. My combined method of Life Coaching and Reiki has provided some amazing results for my clients.  I’m a practical spiritualist. I help you connect back to your values and passion for life, while keeping your feet on the ground with tangible actions to take away and use every day.

Time to Exhale was born from my deep desire to help those feeling overwhelmed, lost, or simply “existing” day to day, but lacking vitality within their mind and body. We all need to find time to take a breath, talk to someone and exhale.

Before you go, I want to let you in on a secret. You already have the answers you came here for. I’m just here to help you find them and remind you that life is to be enjoyed, not endured!

My coaching relationship with Mel began after she served on an interview panel for a job I’d applied for. I was trying to step up to a new level within my team and was unsuccessful. Following this application process I met with Mel weekly for approximately 4 months to work on my self-confidence, long term goals, stress management, and finding ways to integrate my ‘work self’ with my ‘life self’. We met in our office meeting rooms and she had a way of making it feel like a safe space. I was able to trust that everything we discussed would remain within that room. Mel listened to my thoughts and feelings and shared her observations about me in a way that felt supportive and respectful which meant I didn’t feel like I needed to hold back and keep things to myself.
